Mission statement of organization: The mission of the University of Florida Alumni Association is to foster and enhance the relationship between the University of Florida, its’ alumni and friends, and to support the University’s mission of teaching, research, and service.
Brief description of services organization offers: The Manatee County Gator Club sponsors a wide variety of social, service and fundraising events each year, the majority of which are for the purpose of raising funds for scholarships. Several scholarships are awarded each year (eight this year at $1000 each) to deserving high school students from Manatee County attending UF. Yearly events include participation in high school college fairs and awards banquets, International Gator Day – this year we assisted the Manasota Miracle League organization volunteering during thier baseball games, a Tailgate Night Scholarship fundraiser, and a Back-to-School Beach Bash dinner for incoming freshmen from the county.

Description and purpose of event: This annual event is our primary scholarship fundraiser and will have a football tailgate theme, the evening will include a buffet dinner and a silent auction. Also acknowledged at the event are our scholarship recipients and their families along with distinguished local alumni and members.

Donations will be acknowledged on club’s website, at event, and in promotional emails prior to event date. Club will display any promotional items on the auction table if desired and provided by donor.
